Outdoor billboards are rated by how waterproof they are and their brightness level. At Digital Signs we only deal in premium product so you can rest assured all of our products are fully IP65 waterproof or your money back.
Brightness relates to the 'pop' your LED screen can produce. The idea is to achieve a "plus 20%" pop so that your screen stands out from the 'visual noise' around it, but is not so bright that it dazzles or offends those passing by. At Digital Signs we have screens that focus on being high definition (5mm pitch distance between LEDs) and those that are bright. You need to have a brightness rating of at least 8,000 nits to combat afternoon sun or your screen will appear dim. We offer screens up to 12,000 nits brightness (for use on a sports pitch etc).
Once you've got your screen up and running much depends on the content you put on it. We are a strong believer that 'less is more' - what we mean by this is since your ads might be changing every 8 seconds convey your message in several small bites - pretty much like telling a story. This will be a much more effective use of your billboard and in turn create greater conversion (call to action).
